We are a general music shop not only offering new and second hand instruments for sale or hire but providing an expert and speedy repair service and a broad range of accessories and spares. We have a large range of sheet music and offer a fast order service for any we may not have in stock. In addition, we have a good range of classical CDs, gifts and posters.

The Duke’s Music has extensive teacher listings for all instruments and is the main box office for the town’s musical events. We are happy to advise on venues and publicity for your event and will sell your tickets for no charge.


Our opening hours are 9.30am till 5pm, Tuesday to Saturday.

Our large, bright, comfortable teaching room is available to hire seven days a week.
