Click & Collect and Delivery

For orders received before 2.00pm we aim to ship that day (except weekends). For orders received after 2:00pm the goods will normally be shipped the following business day but as the Post Office is next door we may be able to send them out earlier. If you really want your order urgently just give us a call and we will see what we can do.

Mainland UK Deliveries

Musical instruments

Musical instruments are shipped by Parceforce or a comparable carrier.

In some cases larger orders may have to be shipped on a longer service. For example, cellos, drum kits or orders of multiple instruments.

Sheet music, accessories and gifts instruments

All sheet music, accessories and gifts are shipped by Royal Mail except for bulky or heavy items which are shipped Parceforce or a comparable carrier on a next day delivery service. Cost of delivery.

Shipping charges will be automatically calculated based on the total value of your shopping basket. For most orders standard shipping rates will be applied as set out below but if there are bulky or heavy items included in the order there may be an additional charge.

Standard Shipping Rates:

  • £2.95 - Sheet music with order value up to £25
  • £1.50-£2.80 - Non-sheet music with order value up to £25
  • £3.50 – Order value between £25 and £50
  • £4.50 – Order value between £50 and £100
  • £10.00 – Order value between £100 and £150
  • Free – Order value over £150

This is only a guide price, if the actual cost is different we will contact you before your goods are despatched to confirm the correct payment.

International Deliveries

We accept orders for most countries and items will be shipped either by Royal Mail International or, for larger packages over 2kg, by Parcelforce. 

Shipping charges are based on the total weight of the items in the shopping basket and details of the rates for different countries are set out in the table below.

Please note that Royal Mail prices can be significantly lower than Parcelforce and that in some instances it maybe cheaper to split a larger order into two smaller orders that weigh less than 2kg.

Overseas import and customs duties or taxes

Deliveries to a country outside of the UK may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied once a shipment reaches that country. These additional charges must be borne by you as we have no control over and cannot predict or calculate these charges.

Delivery Dates and Non-Delivery

For an order comprising multiple items, all items will be delivered in a single shipment.  The delivery date will be dependent upon the item with longest period of expected availablity.

All goods delivered will be to your stated delivery address. You are responsible for making all arrangements to take delivery of the goods whenever they arrive. If you have requested that the goods be left with a neighbour or a “safe place” we cannot be held liable for missing or stolen items.

Where a parcel cannot be delivered, the courier will leave a card with details of the phone number to call to arrange another delivery. If your parcel cannot be delivered within 3 days it will be returned back to us. Should we then have to re-send the parcel, we reserve the right to re-charge the cost of any re-delivery.

If the parcel does not arrive when you expect, then please don't hesitate to give us a call on 01280 821771 or email us and we will do our best to liaise with the relevant courier to trace the parcel's whereabouts.

Damage in Transit

Damaged goods should not be accepted and delivery refused. The goods will then be returned to us. Any goods signed for are deemed as being accepted in good condition. We cannot accept any responsibility for damaged goods once the items have been accepted and signed for.

Click & Collect

Click & Collect offers all the benefits of shopping online with the added convenience of picking your goods up at a time that suits you. If you choose the Click & Collect option at check-out, the goods will be held at the shop for you.

A confirmation email will be sent to you when the goods are ready for collection. For goods in stock this should normally be after only a short while. For goods that are not in stock we will send you the confirmation email after they have been received.

When you come to the shop to pick up the goods you should bring with you a copy of the confirmation email and the credit or debit card used to make the purchase.

Returns Policy

We want you to be happy with your purchase. You may cancel your order (without giving any reason) by notifying us within 14 days from receipt of the goods. You must then return the goods at your own expense. You must return the goods in the original packaging and condition. Reeds and similar items cannot be returned for hygiene reasons, unless they are returned unopened in their original packaging.

If an order is returned or cancelled we will fully refund your payment except where an item has been ordered for you by us, in which case we will deduct any costs we incur in returning the item to the supplier.  Please note that in some situations a supplier may not accept the return of the goods, in which case we will only refund the postage cost.

If the goods are faulty (or not what was ordered), then contact us within 7 days and we will arrange return at our own expense.
